1. Purpose of the Platform

Shared Transfers Nordeste is a community website operated by a private individual, not a company. The platform provides a free service allowing travelers to connect and share private transfers in Brazil’s Northeast. We are not a transport company. We do not operate, manage, or guarantee transfers. All arrangements are made directly between users.

2. User Obligations

Post only genuine transfer proposals that reflect a real plan to travel.
Contact other users only if you truly intend to join the transfer and are ready to pay your share.
Use the platform for personal ride-sharing purposes only — no solicitation, spam, or commercial advertising.
Accept that all arrangements, including payment, are made directly between users.

3. Privacy and Data Sharing

When you use Shared Transfers Nordeste, certain personal data is shared to enable users to contact each other and arrange transfers:

Public on the website: when you post a transfer proposal, only your first name and the initial of your last name are displayed so that other travelers can identify who posted it without exposing your full identity.
Shared with the transfer owner upon contact: if you contact an owner, your full name and your email address are provided to that owner so they can reply to you directly. Your email is not visible publicly on the website.
Data deletion: once a transfer proposal is posted, you may delete it yourself at any time by using the “My transfer proposals” menu at the top of the page. If you no longer wish to use our service, you can delete your account yourself using the “My account” link from the dropdown menu at the the top of the page.

The collection and use of personal data on this website comply with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more details about how your data is processed and your rights, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

4. Drivers

The platform is primarily intended for travelers who do not have a vehicle in Brazil and book transfers with a professional transfer company.

If a user acts as a driver (including with a rental car), they are solely responsible for holding the required licenses, permits, vehicle registration, and insurance as mandated by Brazilian law. By offering a ride, the driver confirms that they are legally permitted to drive and to carry passengers, and that their vehicle is compliant with registration and insurance obligations. The platform does not verify or guarantee such compliance and declines any responsibility in this regard.

Passengers are responsible for making any checks they consider necessary before accepting a ride.

5. Disclaimer of Liability

Shared Transfers Nordeste is a neutral intermediary and does not operate or supervise any transfers. We are not responsible for the behavior, reliability, or conduct of users. We are not liable for any accident, injury, damage, delay, cancellation, or dispute between users, nor for any direct or indirect consequences resulting from these events.

By using the platform, you acknowledge that participation in shared transfers is entirely at your own risk.

6. Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate accounts without notice if users:

Post false or misleading transfers,
Use the platform for commercial prospection,
Violate these Terms in any way.

7. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law, and any disputes arising from the use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Brazilian courts.

8. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
